Alpaca fiber comes in a vast range of natural colors from white, through fawns, into browns, blacks, and heathered greys. We send much of our annual clip to the national co-op, but we keep a few choice fleeces for our hand-spinning clients (and to use ourselves in making luxurious handspun yarn and products from that handspun yarn).

We also offer private instruction and help to our clients in learning more about the fiber arts, including spinning, felting, knitting and crocheting. Visit our fiber photo gallery to see some pictures of the fun times we have had!

We currently have available fiber that is washed and carded, ready to spin in white, black, reddish brown, fawn, and medium brown. It is priced at $2.00 per ounce, with a 10% discount on purchases of 16 oz or more.

We currently have several handwoven scarves in progress in black, grey and red, white and black, white with black and colored silk highlights, and white with medium brown (pictures soon when finished). Also I can weave a custom scarf or shawl with your yarn or mine. Some samples, all sold, can be seen below. For all items below, click on the thumbnail to see a larger picutre and/or some additional pictures of the items.

Scarves: $45     All scarves are approximately 8 inches by 52 inches.
Shown here are two grey scarves, the one on the left is a pebble weave in grey and white (sold), with white twisted fringe. The one on the right is grey with stripes of a varigated yarn in complimentary colors, woven in tabby, with plain fringe (sold).
On the left is a blue, varigated weave scarf, with twisted fringe (sold). On the right is a grey, black and white twill weave (sold), with twisted fringe. This twill scarf is very loosely woven, giving it a very soft feel.
Shawls:
This V-shaped shawl is woven with grey and purple worsted weight alpaca yarn, interspersed in the warp with a purple alpaca boucle yarn. The back has a section where the warp is used also as the weft, giving an interesting design. The larger photos show a view of the back. The shawl weighs 19.5 ounces, and is very soft and warm. Price $225. Sold
