Since 1982, Twin Pines has been raising
llamas and alpacas for sale as breeding stock, show animals, herd companions,
guard animals, wool bearers, farm pets and pack animals. Llama and alpaca
fiber is harvested and sold to spinners and crafters. The odorless aged
llama manure makes excellent fertilizer and is available at the farm.
This
28 acre farm in the Musconetcong Valley contains a complete facility for
the breeding and raising of llamas and alpacas. The modern barn has provision
for up to 50 animals and has facilities for feeding and watering. The
pastures are divided into sections so that llamas and alpacas each have
separate habitats. All pastures lead directly to the barn and each stall
has its own outside entrance. Wool is harvested by brushing and shearing
and sold to spinners.
Philip and Diane Mammaro, owners of Twin Pines Farm,
stress their dedication to quality, integrity and the future of the camelid
community. Their goal is to produce superior animals and to educate the
public as to the varied use of llamas and alpacas. They have lent support
and guidance to many llama farms over the years and are eagerly willing
to share their llama and alpaca experiences.
