Educational Alpaca Tour

During the summer, we are offering our educational tours upon request, please call us to schedule a day and time. We are a working alpaca farm, during our educational alpaca tour, you will spend approximately 2 hrs. learning all about alpacas. This is a hands-on, mostly walking, personal experience that allows you to interact with the alpacas. During the tour you will learn how to care for an alpaca, their origin, uses for their fur and quirky personalities. After your tour, you are welcome to stay and explore our store, enjoy our covered back porch, relax by the creek, walk our Alpaca Trail, have lunch under the pavilion or enjoy our playgrounds. Kids under 3 years of age are free, please DO NOT add them to the number of participants during check out to ensure they do get charged. What to expect?. You can expect to have a lot of fun with our alpacas. Our alpacas are generally friendly, however, we let them decide how and when to interact with guests. We will provide some grain for you to hand feed them. We employ working livestock guardian dogs to take care of our alpacas, so please leave your pets at home. Please wear appropriate clothing according to the season, even though we have covered areas and barns, mostly you will be outside, closed toed shoes are recommended. If you don't see a time that is convenient, give us a call and we will try to accommodate you. We have Beer, wine, sodas, water and snacks for sale at our farm store.
